What is Clinical Psychology

Clinical psychology is a psychological specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive mental and behavioural healthcare for individuals and families. Clinical psychologists help people improve their own lives by overcoming their problems.

Clinical psychologists provide a wide range of psychological services to individuals across their lifespan and for mental health conditions that range from mild to severe and complex. Among the skills that they have are diagnostic assessments and treatment of mental health disorders, developmental disorders and other psychological problems. Clinical psychologists use a range of techniques and therapies to treat mental health disorders. They use individually tailored treatment to solve complex clinical psychology problems.

Oftentimes, psychological problems are overlooked by the patients themselves. It is usually noticed by family, friends or colleagues. Seek help before it spirals out of control to protect yourself and your loved ones.
