General Surgery

What is General Surgery

Speed and precision are crucial elements where surgery is concerned. Armed with vast experience in both open and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, our surgeons are trained to execute intricate surgical procedures safely and effectively, assisted by a multidisciplinary team of trained personnel consisting of Operation Theatre (OT) nurses, surgical assistants, an anaesthesiologist and a radiologist. Pre-surgical counselling and advice, such as the required fasting time and what to expect post-surgery, will be provided to reassure the patient and family members. Similarly, post-surgical follow-up, including wound cleaning, physiotherapy (where necessary), dietary constraints, counselling and others, will be provided to ensure complete healing.
